Our story
A couple of years ago, Carla embarked on a solo journey to the Maldives, where the idea for Kandu first arose—a project distinct from others she encountered. Yet, to bring this project to life, she required the expertise and collaboration of a local counterpart.
While free diving one day, she unexpectedly encountered a Maldivian named Nazykko.
Little did they know, this meeting would lead to a friendship, a love story and the creation of their beautiful project: Kandu.
In search of a name, they sought something local yet meaningful: "Kandu". Kandu means ocean. The ocean is where they met. Kandu is where they fell in love. And the ocean is what they were both passionate about.
Upon her return back to Spain, daily calls fuelled the organisation of their first group trip which to their surprise was a complete success!
Kandu isn't just about journeys; it embodies freedom, love, a sense of belonging, a different way to travel and the exploration of local cultures and the ocean.
